23rd NOVEMBER - ANDY MURPHY NEW DEAL
Armadale Thistle can announce Local Boy and Club skipper Andy Murphy has penned a new deal at Volunteer Park.
We’re absolutely thrilled Murph has committed his future to the club and we look forward to the big man leading the boys going forward.
20th SEPTEMBER - JUNIOR CUP 2nd ROUND DRAW
The Dale have been drawn away to Lossiemouth United FC in the next round of the Scottish Junior Cup.
Lossie knocked out Junior Cup stalwarts Auchinleck Talbot in the last round.
6th SEPTEMBER - CALUM HEATH SIGNS
Armadale Thistle F.C are delighted to announce we’ve captured the signing of Broxburn wide man Calum Heath on a long term contract.
Calum was a major part of the Broxburn premier league title winning side last season helping them gain promotion to the Lowland League.

21st JULY - RYAN ROBERTSON SIGNS
Armadale Thistle F.C are delighted to announce the signing of forward, Ryan Robertson, from Bo'ness Athletic.
Robbo scored 32 goals for Athletic in their title winning campaign and has a whopping 80+ goals in 2 seasons.
Robbo has put pen to paper on a long term deal and will be available for selection next weekend when the league begins.

We can confirm that Dale goalkeeper, Andy Murphy, has been appointed as our new club captain.
Murph has stepped up to the captaincy role afte, Stuart McLeod vacated the post to take on a coaching role with the club.

21st JUNE - DAVID WILSON SIGNS ON
Armadale Thistle F.C are delighted to announce the signing of centre back David Wilson.
Div came through the youths at Hearts and Livingston before most recently playing premier league football at Blackburn Utd, before moving to Australia.
The 24 year old becomes Colin Strickland's fourth summer signing.

14th JUNE - CALLUM SHANKS SIGNS
Armadale Thistle F.C are delighted to announce that we've secured the services of former Forth Wanderers defender, Callum Shanks
Callum was also a mainstay in the hugely successful Cumbernauld Colts 20’s side, winning the league unbeaten, before moving to Kingshill Park with Forth.
The Dale management has long been admirers of Shanks, who is predominantly a centre back, but also comfortable in other defensive areas.

10th JUNE - ROBBIE FEENEY RETURNS
Armadale Thistle F.C can confirm that Dale legend, Robbie Feeney, has made a sensational return to The Volley.
The striker had shown a real desire to return to the club, and his wealth of experience, combined with his goalscoring record, will be invaluable for the upcoming season.

7th JUNE - ALAN HIGGINS SIGNS
Armadale Thistle F.C are delighted to announce that we've secured the services of Kennoway Star captain Alan Higgins.
Higgy came through the ranks at Hibs & Livingston before joining Kennoway, allowing him to combine both football and University studies.
The 22 years old midfielder, has also captained Chris Geddes' Scotland Uni select team.

3rd JUNE - RYAN MAHOOD TO LIVINGSTON
Armadale Thistle F.C can confirm that midfielder, Ryan Mahood, has made his loan move at Livingston United permanent.
Ryan has been selected consistently for Colin Sutherland's Utd and was keen to continue with them into next season.
We wish Ryan all the best, a very professional young man and we hope to see him back in a Dale jersey in the future.

Everyone at Armadale Thistle F.C are deeply saddened to hear of the tragic news of Dale supporter and Councillor, Stuart Borrowman’s passing.
Our thoughts and prayers goto Stuart's family in these difficult times.
24th MAY - ROOSTER RETIRES
Armadale Thistle can confirm that midfield magician Ruari MacLennan has called time on his playing career.
Ruari broke onto the scene after coming through Clyde's youth system, making his debut at 18 years old. Rooster made 72 appearances for The Bully Wee and scored 10 goals.
Rooster is known to most for his performances at Linlithgow Rose, where he played for 10 seasons over 2 spells.
Ruari won the East Super League with The Rose during his first stint. A season with Bo'ness United split the 2 spells.
Ruari signed for The Dale in 2021 and played a huge part in our promotion last season. Rooster still more than played his part this season, rolling back the years and showing his class in the middle of the park.
Rooster is widely regarded as one of the best players to grace the juniors and we wish him all the best in his retirement.

I'm delighted that I've had the chance to end my career at The Dale. It's a well run club with some great people involved. The club is on the up and I'm glad I got to play a part in that journey.
Thanks to Derek for bringing me in from Linlithgow, I've made some great friends here and over my career.
Coco's been a great team mate for the last 15 years. He's the 3rd best player I've played with behind Roddy and Gary McSwegan, to be fair Swiggy has only played and scored in the Champions League 😂.
I'm thankful to all the players and coaches I've had the chance to work with over the years, I've enjoyed every minute of it!

22nd MAY - STOOGS FIRST TEAM COACH
Armadale Thistle are delighted to announce that club captain Stoogs McLeod has been appointed as a first team coach.
Stoogs has taken the decision to retire from playing and signed off in style with a goal in his final game against Burntisland.
Stoogs is well known and loved around the West Lothian footballing world, with stints at West Calder, Blackburn, Bathgate and 2 with The Dale.
Stoogs is adored by the fans at The Volley, with his work ethic and hunger for success on the park contributing to this. He is a leader both on and off the park and he will add plenty of experience to our coaching staff.
As much as we'll miss him on the park every Saturday, we're glad he's chosen to stick around!
𝐀 𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐨𝐠𝐬:
It was a weird feeling on Saturday knowing it was my last game and it was good to sign off with a goal and also a win. I’ve enjoyed my time at all the clubs you mentioned and met some great people along the way and some friends for life.
I’m now excited to get going on the other side of the sideliines. Thanks to Coco for giving me the opertunity to step into coaching and I’m looking forward to working with him, Gav and the group of players we have for the upcoming season.
I would like to thank all my managers that have helped me over the 18/19 years in the senior game.
Richie Hastie, Jim Henderson, Andy Collie, Mark and Jamie and Blackburn. Finally Derek for bring me back to the Dale and Coco for this season.
Lastly I’d like to thank the support from the Armadale fans. They follow everywhere us in numbers, it’s greatly appreciated by myself and everyone at the club.

21st MAY - LEIPER STEPS AWAY
For personal reasons, Assistant Manager Colin Leiper will be taking some time away from football.
Leips is no stranger to Dale fans, having made many visits to The Volley in opposing colours before Derek Strickland signed him to play for Armadale in 2018.
The ball winning centre-half was quickly adored by The Dale loyal and he was a mainstay in his time at the club. Colin played for the club in their final season in the junior set-up and secured promotion from East of Scotland Division 3 in his final season as a player.
Colin then joined his namesake as Assistant Manager heading into our first season in EOSFL Division 2. There has been quite a large turnover within the squad this season but the boys fought for promotion right until the last day before we were pipped to 3rd by Edinburgh South.
Leips has also turned out a handful of times for The Dale this season during an injury crisis and he hadnt missed a beat.
Colin is an all round great guy with a passion for football. He'll be missed around our club.

Former Dale manager Gerry Collins has sadly passed today aged only 69 . Our thoughts and prayers go out to all Gerry’s family and friends at this sad time

20th October - ROBBIE FEENEY STEPS DOWN
Armadale Thistle can confirm that long-serving striker Robbie Feeney has taken the decision to step away from football for the time being.
This season marked Robbie's 12th as an Armadale player, with his service coming over 2 spells. He contributed with 6 goals and 4 assists in 11 appearances for The Dale this season.
Robbie is as prolific as they come, bagging multiple top scorer awards, winning player of the year and player's player of the year. He was also featured in the EOSFL Division 3 team of the season last year.
Robbie will go down in the history books as an Armadale legend and I'm sure you'll join us in wishing him all the best for the future.

After an impressive season Aidan McPhillips (17) and Ben Stewart (16), pictured below with first team manager Colin Strickland, will be making the step up to play for the Under 20's team this season.

Armadale Thistle FC can confirm that club captain Stephen Horn will be taking time away from football.
Stephen played a big part in the club's progression over the years and been captain of the team for the last 3 seasons, helping guide us to promotion.
We would like to wish Stephen all the best and were sure it’s not the last time we see him down at The Volley.
Armadale Thistle FC can confirm that both Gavin Hamilton and Marc Allan will leave the club upon expiry of their current deals.
Both have played their part in helping the club clinch promotion and everyone at The Dale wish them the best for the future.

Fraser has a young family and busy work schedule, making football a difficult commitment.
The club would like to thank Keasty for his contribution over the last few seasons and I’m sure we’ve not seen the last of him at The Volley.

6th June - DOMINIC KANE 𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗡𝗦
Armadale Thistle FC are delighted to announce the signing of long term target, Dominic Kane.
The 25 year old box-to-box midfielder, brings valuable Lowland League and EOS Premier experience, having played with Stirling Uni and most recently, Blackburn Utd.

The 24 year old played an integral role in Edinburgh College' promotion campaign this season.
